"Do It Better" Project
This was our final project of the 2014-15 school year. The goal for this project was to take one of our previous projects and redo it, or "do it better". The "Build a Musical Band" group and I got back together (with one exception) and decided to remake our ukulele. We decided to carve the whole thing out of wood and remake the body with balsa wood, which would make it light-weight and easy to carry, and extra hollow for resonance. We took of all the parts that we could reuse off our old ukulele, and attached them to our newer one.
For more on the physics and concepts of our new ukulele, see my "Build a Musical Band" page:

REFLECTIONS
It was really fun coming back to a project that I really enjoyed working on. My group and I knew exactly what to do to fix our old uke. We worked really hard and split the jobs evenly. That was one of our peaks: teamwork. Another peak was that we all got along and collaborated very well. We told each other what we were going to work on, and the process we would use. A pit would include time management. We delayed getting our supplies, so we had to take the uke home to finish working on it. Another pit would include lack of supplies. Like I mentioned above, we delayed getting the things we needed, so it took us longer to finish the project.
